No more crunch!

Greetings, all. Alex here in the wee hours of the morning with Nicholas happily playing with his blocks. We watched Hi-5 as usual and read the book Utterly Lovable Dogs. He gave each of the dogs and puppies a kiss. After an hour and a half of Hi-5 I put on Tron and showed Nicholas the lightcycles, which he enjoyed quite a bit, making "whoosh" sounds as the cycles raced by.

Things are clearing up at work and I'm not working late hours these days. Gauntlet is due for submission yesterday but there were online bugs preventing that. Regardless it's awfully close. It's much nicer to be able to see your wife and son when you go home. We also had a small Halloween this year. I worked and Jeanette took Nicholas to her friend Deborah's house to go trick or treating in our old neighborhood in Rancho Bernardo. I'd like us to do something special this weekend since I worked last weekend. Maybe the zoo? We'll see, but it's easy to get cabin fever in a small apartment so I'm sure seeing some animals and wide open areas will help both Jeanette and Nicholas.

Grandmummy's birthday is coming up on the 5th. I've sent her a card and hope her birthday will be enjoyable! That's about it for now, signing off...

New Hi-5

It is 7:09am here in California (yawn!), the neighbors above us are stomping around like elephants, and Nicholas is drinking some milk and watching his favorite show: Hi-5. While it is a new season, this week they're doing reruns from the last season. Here is a link so if you're interested you don't have to Google for it: http://www.hi-5us.com/

Air Show

We went to the Miramar Air Show this weekend. Unfortunately, Nicholas had a bit of a cold and hadn't slept in a few days. So we didn't stay very long. Here are some pictures of what we did see.

Welcome!

Welcome to a new incarnation of the news portion of the Brandon Family Website!

This is now in the form of a Blog (weblog). This means Alex or Jeanette can, from any computer with a web browser (or even their phones!) post a news update.

Not much to report from San Diego other than the weather is wet and cold all of a sudden. Jeanette and Nicholas have just finished getting over a cold and it is now passed to daddy. I'm happy just that Nicholas is getting more sleep, so the cold isn't so bad. More news to follow!

Baby Brandon!

Well, as most of you know (if not all) we're expecting another little Brandon. The arrival date is planned for May 1, 2006, but if they follow in their big brother's footsteps, they'll be born around the middle of April. We don't know much about this little one yet, other than they're in there and there's only one of them. (thank goodness!)

Nicholas is doing well. He's growing like a weed and does something new everyday. These days he's talking up a storm and can form a three word sentence. He went down the slide the other day for the first time by him self and was very excited about that. Every time he would slide down, he'd say "again" and run to the top of the slide. We've told him about his new sibling, but he doesn't quite understand what that means yet. When we tell him there's a baby in Mommy tummy, he looks at us like we're crazy. I'm sure once I start showing and he feels the baby move, he might understand a little better.
